The Nigeria Labour Congress has decided to embark in an indefinite strike.
This comes after two weeks ultimatum the Labour Congress gave the federal government following refusal to release fuel subsidy removal palliatives.
It could be recalled that NLC embarked on a-two day warning strike including other affiliates of the union. Trade Union Congress opted out of the warning strike after meeting with the federal government team saying “it not yet ripe to embark on strike”.
The Trade union however revealed plans to join the NLC nationwide strike set to commence on Wednesday, 3rd of October, 2023.
The strike is expected to ground all nation’s activities. Meanwhile, Tinubu, the President is expected to address Nigerians on 1st of October, 2023.
In other news, freshreporters media had also gathered that the Labour Congress Team will meet with federal government for possible aversion of proposed indefinite strike.
Confirming the strike, the Labour Congress issued out a statement signed by it general secretary.
