The organized labour withdrew from the current minimum wage talks with the federal government on Wednesday
The situation transpired subsequent to wage offers of N48,000 and N54,000 from the Organized Private Sector (OPS) and the Government, respectively.
The offer was deemed “ridiculous” by organized labour.
According to information obtained, OPS claimed that none of its members earn less than N78,000, while the FG did not offer any statistics to support its plan, in contrast to that of the Organized Labour.
Benson Upah, the Nigerian Labour Congress’s (NLC) spokesperson, verified the departure in a statement.
