JUST IN: Kidnapped Nollywood Actors Released

Cynthia Okereke and Clemson Cornel (Agbogidi) the known nollywood actors have been released. It was confirmed by the Actors Guild of Nigeria on Wednesday, nearly a week now after the incident happened in Enugu State.

In a post shared by Monalisa Chinda Coker, the Nigeria Actor Guilds Director of Communication, the association confirmed the release of the duo and informed the public in a statement that the kidnappers were “touched by the spirit of God” and set the Thespians free.

“This is to inform the public that the kidnapped actors, Cynthia Okereke and Clemson Cornel, have been released, unhurt. The elated National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Ejezie Rollas, announced their release by the abductors who were touched by spirit of God to set them free and unharmed.

“The guild has arranged for medical checks and psychological support for the victims.

“On behalf of their families, the National President expressed our heartfelt appreciation to the Nollywood industry and Nigerians at large for the support and prayers during this trying period.

“He urged members to be security conscious on and off movie sets and always take precautionary measures on their security at all times.” The statement reads partly

It was recorded that the nollywood actors, Okereke and Agbodigidi were announced missing after which family members could not reach them on Saturday, last weekend.
