The federal government has approved a salary rise of between 25 and 35 percent for civil servants on the remaining six consolidated salary structures.
The national salaries, incomes and wages commission’s (NSIWC) chief of press, Emmanuel Njoku, made the announcement about the pay hike in a statement on Tuesday, the eve of Workers’ Day.
According to the announcement, the rise will be implemented on January 1, 2024.

Njoku said: “The Federal Government has approved an increase of between 25 per cent and 35 per cent in salary for Civil Servants on the remaining six Consolidated Salary Structures.
