Explosion have reportedly killed about five soldiers of the Joint Border Forces of Nigeria and Cameroon near Ikang waterways in Bakassi Peninsula.
According to reports by freshreporters media, militants suspected to be Black Marine drove with two speed boats exchanging fire with Joint Border Forces when they threw IED on security personnel’s at the maritime border checkpoints.
It was gathered that the tragic incidence took place on Thursday morning at 9am.
The militant groups operated from two angles, one boat coming from Akwa Ibom axis engaged Joint Border Forces in a shootout, an hour later the other group coming from Isangele threw IED on Cameroonian Forces attempting to blow a vessel awaiting it’s turn to be filled with oil.
Two separatist militants were injured during exchange of gunfire.
