The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has made a significant decision by electing Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the former Kano Governor, as the new National Chairman of the party.
Acting National Chairman, Senator Abubakar Kiyari, revealed this outcome after a committee’s executive session.
Furthermore, Senator Ajibola Basiru was also elected as the National Secretary during the same meeting.
It is worth noting that NEC invoked its authority as stated in Article 13(2) and granted the NWC the power to fill other vacant positions within the party’s administrative framework.
In a ceremony attended by Barrister Mustapha Abubakar, both newly elected leaders took the oath of allegiance, solidifying their roles within the party’s leadership.
