The Commissioner for Transport in Rivers State, Jacobson Nbina, has stepped down from Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s cabinet.
Freshreporters News gathered from Jacobson’s resignation letter his reasons for his resignation was personal and family commitments .
In his resignation, Nbina expressed gratitude to Fubara for the opportunity to serve in his administration and wished the Governor a successful tenure.
His departure brings the total to eight, the count of Commissioners who have resigned from Fubara’s government as the clash between the Governor and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, continues to unsettle the political atmosphere in Rivers State.
The commissioners who have submitted their resignations so far are:
- Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Prof. Zacchaeus Adangor (SAN).
- Commissioner for Works, Dr Des George-Kelly
- Commissioner for Special Duties, Emeka Woke.
- Commissioner for Social Welfare and Rehabilitation, Mrs Inime Aguma.
- Commissioner for Finance, Isaac Kamalu.
- Commissioner for Education, Prof. Chinedu Mmom.
- Commissioner for Housing. Dr. Gift Worlu
