The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has assured it is making concerted efforts to restore bulk power supply to northern Nigeria despite ongoing security issues.
TCN on Tuesday, 22nd of October 2024, announced a power outage affecting the north-east, north-west, and parts of north-central regions.
This disruption occurred when the 330 kV Ugwaji–Apir double circuit transmission lines 1 and 2 tripped at approximately 4:53 AM due to a fault.
The Special Adviser, Public Communication and Orientation to the President, Sunday Dare, on Wednesday, 30th of October, 2024, via a video he shared on his X page revealed that there is a massive ongoing effort to fix the lines and restore power to the affected areas.
The caption reads:
