Jesse Lingard has concluded an unexpected transfer to FC Seoul in South Korea.
The former forward for Manchester United has agreed to a two-year contract with the K League 1 team, with the option to extend it for a third.
The 31-year-old, who was cut loose from Nottingham Forest at the end of the last campaign, reportedly received proposals from up to 26 international teams, including Lazio and FC Seoul.
The news was confirmed on Instagram on Wednesday, with Lingard posting a photo of himself wearing an FC Seoul jersey while writing: ‘New beginnings! So excited to finally get back on the pitch and do what I love the most.
