A stowaway who is believed to be attempting escape from Nigeria to another country was found in the landing gear of a KLM Royal Dutch aircraft Boeing 777 (registered PH-BQM) at Schiphol Airport on Monday, freshreporters gathered.
The man was lifeless when he was discovered and his body was carted away.
According to reports gathered by freshreporters, the plane had left from the Muritala Mohamed Airport of Lagos State, A flight noted to be more than six and a half hours, about 7000 kilometers.
It was noted that the plane made several wanderings before landing at Schiphol.
The discovery has stirred a quick investigation on how and when the man was able to access the aircraft without any notice.
This tragic and sad occurrence had highlights the dangers of attempting to travel with a craft without proper documentation or authorization via this method, with temperatures dropping to as low as minus fifty degrees on longer flights, making survival nearly impossible as the case may occur.
Despite the risks, some individuals even in Nigeria still attempt to stow away in search of a greener pasture or to escape difficult happenings in their home countries.

The Royal Dutch Marecgaussee, spokesperson revealed that the extreme temperatures in the wheel wells of aircraft pose a significant threat, and hypothermia is likely to be a contributing factor in this case.
