Jada Pinkett Smith reveals she and husband, Will Smith separated in 2016

Jada Pinkett Smith, a Popular Hollywood Actress has revealed she and husband, Will Smith have been separated since 2016.

She said they are both living “completely seperate lives” saying “they were just exhausted of trying”.

In an almost 2-minute clip from an exclusive with Hoda Kotb on NBC News released on Wednesday, 11th of October, 2023, Jada Pinkett revealed they were not “ready yet” to make it public knowledge.

Hoda Kotb said she was shocked to read that part of the seperation between Jada and Will in her book that she asked herself, “is it true.”

Speaking to Kotb, Pinkett Smith said,

“I think just not been ready yet, Still trying to figure out between the two of us how to be in partnership in regards to how do we present that to people and we hadn’t figured that out.

On why the relationship fractured, Pinkett blamed it on a lot of things.

She said, “That’s a lot of things, I think by the time we got to 2016, we were just exhausted of trying. I think we were both still stuck in our fantasy of what we thought the other person should be.”

She also revealed she considered a legal divorce but just couldn’t go through it “I made a promise that there will never be a reason for us to divorce. We will work through whatever…”

However, in 2022, during the Oscars, Will Smith slapped Chris Rock on stage for making a joke of his wife’s bald head.
