Matteo Massina Denaro, Sicilian godfather was caught on Monday by Italian anti-mafia police, ending a 30-year manhunt for Italy’s most wanted fugitive.
The Italian ruthless operator had some time ago reportedly boasted that he could “fill a cemetery” with his victims. The 60-year-old godfather, Messina Denaro was a leading figure in Cosa Nostra, the real-life Sicilian crime syndicate depicted in the Godfather movies of Italy.
It was gathered that the mobster was arrested “inside a health facility in Palermo, where he had gone for therapeutic treatment”, special operations commander Pasquale Angelosanto revealed this in a police statement issued out.
It was also gathered that, the 60 years old mobstar had been undergoing periodic treatment for colon cancer under a false name, and did not resist nab.
