Anthony Nwokorie, one of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC who was killed in April by unknown gunmen in Imo State, will be laid to rest on Thursday (today), 1st of September, 2022.
The electoral body of Nigeria took to its Twitter handle today to mourn the 35-year-old man.
INEC disclosed that the deceased was killed at Nkwo-Ihitte (Polling Unit 004) while on official duty during the recent concluded Continuous Voter Registration exercise in Ihitte Uboma Local Government Area of Imo State.
Anthony Nwokorie died on the 14th of April, 2022 as a result of gunshot.
