I’m Proud Of Nigerian Youths –Tinubu Declares

President Bola Tinubu said his government is investing in technology that is specifically designed to guarantee accountability and transparency in government, as well as to accelerate public sector performance and service delivery to the Nigerian people.

The President continued by expressing his pride in Nigerian youth and said that they inspire his government to continue implementing reforms.

President Tinubu stated, “We will look at this and work on it further,” in response to certain suggestions given by Microsoft founder and philanthropist Mr. Bill Gates on the fringes of the World Economic Forum Special Meeting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday. I’m proud of the young of Nigeria. They use technology with great excitement and creativity. They give us hope as we go on with our reform initiatives in order to secure their prosperity in the future. Nigeria has to become into what it should be at this moment.”

Technology, according to President Tinubu, is a powerful tool against financial impropriety and corruption in public service.

The President emphasized that resistance is frequently expected when efforts are made to strengthen systems and prevent malfeasance. He also stated that he is unwavering in his commitment to deliver dependable technology that will support a national consumer credit system and many other crucial new government interventions for all Nigerians.

“Technology is the enemy of fraud, corruption, and irregularity. We have been working hard on improving technology,” the spokesperson for the President, Chief Ajuri Ngelale quoted his principal as saying.

“There is always the initial resistance. Corruption, self-interest, and fraudulent activity will always be an enemy, but when you bend that curve, you will receive the benefit. The nation will receive the benefit.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]
