Sheyi Adebayor, a Former Togolese footballer, has declared that he is a Nigerian despite that he was raised in Togo.
The former Tottenham striker said this on Thursday while speaking at an event organised by the African Football Legends to celebrate the former Super Eagles captain, Jay Jay Okocha.
He said:
“My father’s name is Adeyi Adebayo and my mother’s name is Alice Emiola Adekanni, so I’m a pure Yoruba man. I was just born in Togo; grew up in Togo and being raised by Nigerian parents in Togo but I’m fully from Nigeria.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>
