Justice Olubunmi Abike-Fadipe of the Special Offences Court in Ikeja, Lagos, has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of Ayodele Toyosi, the promoter of Reaprite Global Limited and Agrorite Limited, after he failed to appear in court for the commencement of his trial on Wednesday, May 21, 2025.
Toyosi, with his two companies, is facing an 11 count charge bordering on obtaining by false pretence and stealing.
He is accused of defrauding investors of N600 million and $50,000 under the guise of offering interest-bearing agricultural export investments.
According to a statement on the X handle of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the accused allegedly lured multiple victims with the promise of high returns from export-related agricultural ventures but failed to deliver on the commitments, instead diverting the funds for personal use.
The statement reads in part:
“Justice Olubunmi Abike-Fadipe of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, issued a warrant for the arrest of one Ayodele Toyosi, promoter of Reaprite Global Limited and Agrorite Limited, for failing to appear in court for his trial.
“Toyosi, alongside his two companies, is standing trial on an 11-count charge bordering on obtaining by false pretence and stealing to the tune of N600,000,000 ( Six Hundred Million Naira) and $50,000( Fifty Thousand United States of America Dollars).
“Investigation revealed that the defendant allegedly defrauded a number of persons on the pretence that he had an interest-yielding investment in agricultural export.
