Nigerian singer, Babatunde Rahim, recognized professionally as Lyta, has expressed his desire to go back to the YBNL Nation record label.
YBNL Nation is owned by renowned rapper, lyricist, and record executive, Olamide Gbenga Adedeji, also known as Olamide Baddo.
It would be recalled that Lyta during an interview in 2019, talked about his supposed breakout from Olamide’s record label.
In another interview, Olamide pointed out that Lyta asked to depart from the record label after he asserted to have signed with another record label, and lots of musicians had criticized the Nigerian rapper for releasing Lyta, an emerging rapper at the time.
Freshreporters news gathered in a recent conversation on the Ginger Yourself Podcast, Lyta clarified that he didn’t depart YBNL “deliberately.”
He expressed, “I want to return to YBNL. What I did back then [departing YBNL Nation] wasn’t intentional. I didn’t hear from Olamide before leaving, and after I departed, he just locked up. But I’ve communicated with him since leaving. I chatted with him via Instagram on his birthday, and he responded.”
When inquired if Olamide is following him on Instagram, the ‘Monalisa’ vocalist stated, “No. He is not following anybody on Instagram.”
It could be remembered also that in an interview in 2022, Lyta elucidated that he exited YBNL Nation because he “heard a lot of things from friends and people in the industry.”
