Senate President Godswill Akpabio has revealed during Thursday’s plenary at the National Assembly, that he spent a night at the Dangote Cement factory in Obajana, Kogi State, on the wedding day of Kogi Central Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
Akpabio, a former Minister of the Niger Delta, spoke fondly of his close relationship with Natasha’s family, emphasising the bond he shares with her husband, whom he described as a personal friend.
He said:
“I slept in Dangote cement factory in Obajana, Kogi State on the night of Senator Natasha’s wedding because the Kogi airport lights were in a poor state.”
Meanwhile, the Senate on Thursday suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan for six months over alleged misconduct in the chamber.
The resolution followed the Senate adoption of the report of the Committee on Ethics, Code of Conduct, and Public Petitions, presented by its Chairman, Senator Neda Imasuen. [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>>
