I Pity You – Buhari’s Ex-aide Attacks Peter Obi For Deleting Tweet Calling Tinubu president

Bashir Ahmad, the former President Muhammadu Buhari’s Special Assistant on Digital Communications, has expressed his disappointment regarding the actions of Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate. Obi recently deleted a tweet in which he referred to Bola Tinubu as “Mr. President.”

According to Bashir, Obi’s decision to delete the tweet reflects his inability to control himself and his opinions. Obi, who is contesting the victory of the All Progressives Congress candidate, Tinubu, in the previous presidential election, had criticized the president’s 120-car convoy upon his return from France.

In his initial tweet, Obi stated, “Allegedly showing Mr. President moving with about a 120-car convoy. While I have not had the opportunity of seeing the said video, my advice remains consistent – that sacrifices for a better Nigeria must start from the leaders at all levels of government.” However, he later deleted the tweet and replaced it with a new one, substituting the mention of “Mr. President” with “a trending motorcade video.”

Bashir Ahmad condemned Obi’s actions, describing them as “low.” He expressed pity for Obi, emphasizing that he seemed to have lost control over himself and his own opinions. Bashir questioned how Obi could delete a well-composed tweet that simply referred to the president as “Mr. President,” solely because some individuals claiming to be his supporters had bullied and criticized him.
