I lôst my voice the day I was supposed to record a song with Beyoncé and got it back after the song had been released without me. I will never forgîve my Village People —-Yemi Alade recounts

Yemi Alade, veteran Nigerian musician has recounted experience with village people on her day of joy.

He said,

“I lôst my voice the day I was supposed to record a song with Beyoncé and got it back after the song had been released without me. I will never forgîve my Village People.”

“You know that saying that we always say in Nigeria that “My village people are after me”, after Beyoncé contacted me for a collaboration and I lôst my voice the day I was supposed to to get in the studio with her, I felt like my village people were running a marathon from Nigeria to America. “

“It’s so funny because I got my voice back immediately I was removed from the song. “

“I was in Las Vegas when Beyoncé contacted me for a verse so it was easy to go link up with her in Los Angeles which is where her studio and office are located. “

“So when we got there and got the idea of what we were doing, I was told to come the next day so we could record. But when I woke up the next morning, I had no voice, I couldn’t even speak. “

“But after I was removed from the song and it was released, I got my voice back. That’s when I understood what my village people can do. “
