“I Don’t Talk About My Relationships, Even with Friends” — Lilian Afegbai

Nollywood actress Lilian Afegbai has opened up about her fiercely private approach to personal matters, revealing that she deliberately keeps details of her relationships and private life away from not only the public but also her closest friends.

Speaking on the show Unfiltered and Extra Spicy, Afegbai stated, “In real life, I do not discuss my relationship or my private life with my friends. I am a very secretive person, and I do not care if you say I am not trustworthy, but I will not discuss my personal life with you.”

She explained that her wide social circle often leads to misunderstandings about her true nature. “People assume because I have plenty of friends, they think I am close to everybody. I am not like that at all.”

When asked about the root of her guarded disposition, the actress disclosed that she has struggled with deep-seated trust issues stemming from childhood trauma. She noted that she is actively addressing these challenges through therapy. “I am still a work in progress,” she added.
