Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has sought the blessings and endorsement of Muhammadu Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto, ahead of the upcoming presidential election.
The Former Governor of Lagos State, who was with the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), said this during their visit to Sultan’s palace ahead of his presidential rally in sokoto state on Thursday.
He revealed that he has come to seek Sultan’s blessing and endorsement and that he is confident that his request will not be denied after noting that he wants to win the upcoming election.
According to him, “ We want to win election. And since that is what we came for, we seek your blessing and endorsement. It is something you cannot reject. I request because the President and Commander-in-chief of the armed forces is on seat. How can he be here and you reject? Thank you very much. May God bless you.”
