As part of the Federal government’s effort to reduce hunger in the country, the Nigeria Customs Service has begun the sale of bags of rice seized from smugglers.
The process commenced on Thursday, 22nd of February, 2024.
The bags are wrapped in 25kg sacks and are being sold at N10,000 each. The authorities demand that each buyer must provide their National Identification Numbers NIN to ensure that only Nigerians benefit from the process.
