How I get to attend church services — Gospel singer Bidemi Olaoba

Nigerian Gospel singer Abidemi Ayodeji Ogunmolu, popularly known as Bidemi Olaoba, has shared his commitment to prioritising spiritual growth and self-nourishment.

He claimed he intentionally arranges his schedule to attend church services on Sundays.

On days when he is scheduled to minister, he ensures he arrives early to receive blessings from the pastor’s message before ministering through song.

He shared this in a recent conversation with Pastor Leke Adeboye, on the podcast, ‘Confession Box’.

He emphasised the importance of seeking guidance and spiritual renewal from God’s word, especially on days when he is set to minister to the congregation.

The founder of Love World, also known as Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, had condemned some gospel singers for not being traceable to any local assembly where they get guidance.

Oyakhilome had said:

“Many of them who wouldn’t go to church. They don’t know the message, they are exposed to a poetic activity. Most of the things they write sinners can write them, they’ll just be nice.

Speaking about his church attendance, Olaoba said: “I schedule myself in a way that if I’m not in church, ‘The Bridge’, I schedule myself in such a way that I will be seated in service before the pastor preaches so I will also be blessed under the pastor’s ministration. “
