Senator Hope Uzodinma, the governor of Imo State, has been elected as the chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum, also known as the All Progressives Congress Governors Forum.
Uzodinma succeeds Atiku Bagudu, the outgoing governor of Kebbi State, who completed his two-year term and has since left office.
The event comes after Rivers State’s most prestigious honor, the Grand Star Service of Rivers State (GSSRS), was bestowed upon him by the state’s former governor, Nyesom Wike.
Also, the immediate past President, Muhammadu Buhari, bestowed on him a National honour – Commander of the Order of the Niger, CON on Sunday, the, 28th of May, 2023.
