Stephen Colbert has made the surprise announcement on his talk show, with Krasinksi taking the crown from Grey’s Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey, who won last year.
Reacting to his win in a video interview with People, Krasinski confessed it was a little unexpected.
“Just immediate blackout, so the brain just turned off actually,” said the Jack Ryan star. “Zero thoughts. Other than maybe I’m being punked.
“After that it was just a false reality. That’s not how I wake up, usually, thinking, ‘Is this the day that I’ll be asked to be Sexiest Man Alive?’ And yet it was the day you guys did it. You guys really raised the bar for me.”
The 45 years old Krasinski, said his actress wife Emily Blunt was “very excited” that he had been chosen for the honor.
There was a lot of joy involved,” he said. “But I do think it’s going to make me do more household chores but I am willing to take the cons with the pros to be honest with you. I think after the cover comes out she’ll be like, ‘All right, that means you’re going to really earn it here at home.’” [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>>
