Half-nakêd Body Of Polish Hotel Worker, Anastazja Rubińska, Found Wrapped In A Bag On Kos

In a shocking case that has sent shockwaves through Greece, the half-naked body of Anastazja Rubińska, a Polish hotel worker, was found wrapped in a bag. The 27-year-old woman had allegedly been raped and killed, leaving the local community in disbelief and mourning.

Greek police made the grim discovery after a week-long investigation into Rubińska’s disappearance. Her strangled remains were found approximately half a mile from the residence of a 32-year-old man from Bangladesh, who has since been arrested. The location was also just 500 meters away from where her mobile phone was discovered the previous Saturday.

Anastazja Rubińska, who hailed from Wrocław and worked at a prestigious five-star hotel in the tourist town of Marmari alongside her Polish boyfriend, was last seen on Monday, June 12, at a local café. The police have now officially confirmed the identity of the victim and named a suspect, Salahuddin S.

Salahuddin S. appeared in court today and vehemently denied all charges brought against him. The accused individual’s arrest came after police found traces of Rubińska’s DNA, a bloodied blouse, strands of her blonde hair, and evidence of a plane ticket purchased by Salahuddin S. for a flight to Italy the day after her disappearance. During the investigation, scratches were also noted on the suspect’s arms and face.

Anastazja Rubińska’s grief-stricken father, Andrzej Rubiński, described his daughter as a trusting person who believed everyone was friendly. He spoke to Polish newspaper Onet, saying, “She was a good girl, albeit reckless.” Mr. Rubiński’s wife traveled to Greece to identify their daughter’s body, which was in an extremely deteriorated state due to being exposed to the heat for six days.

Expressing his belief that his daughter was “kidnapped, raped, and murdered,” Mr. Rubiński revealed that she had burned her hand a few days before her disappearance and had sought remedies. He speculated that his daughter, in her search, had made the “stupid idea to smoke a joint,” which led to a meeting with men who allegedly deceived her and potentially drugged her.

The Polish authorities have demanded the extradition of the man accused of Rubińska’s murder. Reports indicate that Rubińska had only been on the island for a couple of weeks and had encountered a group of men from Bangladesh and Pakistan while seeking to purchase cannabis. She had informed her partner that one of them would drive her home but later asked him to pick her up. However, when he arrived, she was nowhere to be found.

Salahuddin S., an illegal immigrant who had been working on a local farm after arriving in Greece two or three years ago, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted kidnapping and murder. The accused had previously been arrested and passed through an identification process, spending some time in a camp before applying for asylum.

As the investigation continues and the court proceedings unfold, the tragic death of Anastazja Rubińska serves as a sobering reminder of the dangers faced by individuals, especially those in vulnerable situations, and the need for justice and protection within society.
