Ambassador Yahya Lawal, the Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has described the Lagos State pilgrims as one of the most disciplined at the ongoing 2023 Hajj exercise in Saudi Arabia.
According to the Lagos State Government website on Friday, the ambassador revealed this during a courtesy visit with other top executives of the agency to the Lagos tent in Mina, on Thursday.
The diplomat noted that the reason for the visit was based on the directive of the Nigerians President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Lawal said,
“The President requested that the team should visit the pilgrims and we are impressed with their exemplary conduct which was a reflection of the effective and efficient works the Amir-ul-Hajj and other officials of the state government have put in place”.
He further urged the pilgrims to pray for the progress, stability, peace, security, and well-being of the country.
The prayer session which is usually done annually before pilgrims depart Mina for Makkah on the third day of throwing pebbles at the Jamarat, was designed to specifically pray to Allah to accept the Hajj exercise.
