The Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has hailed the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon as more than just a race but a testament to endurance, determination, and the dynamic spirit of Lagos.
Sanwo-Olu also extended congratulations to the runners, organisers and supporters who contributed to the success of the marathon.
This was contained in a statement on the Governor’s X handle on Saturday, 15th of February 2025.
The statement reads:
“The Access Bank Lagos City Marathon is more than a race—it’s a celebration of endurance, determination, and the vibrant spirit of Lagos. Thousands of athletes from across the world took to our streets, proving once again that Lagos is the home of excellence in sports and global events.
