The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has hailed first lady, Oluremi Tinubu on conferment of two honorary doctorate degrees awarded her by the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) and Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife.
FUTO confered on the first lady Honorary Doctorate Degree of Management, Honoris Causa, while OAU conferred the Honorary Doctorate Degree in Public Administration.
Sanwo-Olu’s congratulatory message was contained in a statement he shared via his official X page on Tuesday, 17th of December 2024.
According to the governor, the degrees are a testament to her enduring commitment to service, leadership, and nation-building.
Sanwo-Olu’s statement reads:
“On behalf of the Government and people of Lagos State, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to you, Your Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and celebrate the well-deserved conferment of two prestigious honorary doctorate degrees that recognize your remarkable contributions to our nation.
“Your recent awards; the Honorary Doctorate Degree of Management, Honoris Causa from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) and the Honorary Doctorate Degree in Public Administration from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, are a testament to your enduring commitment to service, leadership, and nation-building.
