The Lagos Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, attended the Service of Songs for late Doyin Okupe-Agbonmagbe.
Okupe, served as former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s Special Assistant on Media and Publicity and later as former President Goodluck Jonathan’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs.
Sanwo-Olu described late Okupe as an advocate for a better Nigeria, whose life embodied dedication and service to humanity, touching countless lives.
In a post on his X handle on Thursday, 27th of March 2025, the Governor expressed condolences to the family of the deceased.
The post reads:
“Today, I attended the Service of Songs for the late Dr. Doyin Okupe-Agbonmagbe.
“Dr. Okupe, who served as President Olusegun Obasanjo’s special assistant on media and publicity and later as President Goodluck Jonathan’s senior special assistant on public affairs, leaves behind a remarkable legacy.
“Dr. Okupe was not just a politician; he was a distinguished Nigerian, a true gentleman, and an advocate for a better Nigeria. His life embodied dedication and service to humanity, touching countless lives.
“On behalf of the government and the people of Lagos State, I express my condolences to the family as you mourn the loss of your father, Dr. Doyin Okupe-Agbonmagbe.
