Governor Ganduje is selling off government properties to family and cronies – Kano Governor-elect Abba Gida-Gida Committee

• The outgoing Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has been accused of selling government properties to family members and cronies.

• The accusation was made by the chairman of the transition committee set up by the incoming Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi.

• Bichi stated that they had received credible information that the Due Process Office had been sold to Abba Ganduje, the governor’s son, for less than N10m.

The incoming Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has accused the outgoing Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, of selling off government properties to his family members and cronies.

This accusation was made by Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, the chairman of the transition committee set up by Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Bichi stated that they had received credible information that the Due Process Office had been sold to Abba Ganduje, the governor’s son, for less than N10m.

He added that Ganduje’s actions were akin to “vandalism” and that his government was “uprooting every structure of governance.”

Bichi warned developers buying the properties to be wary and stated that all those who played any role in the act would be prosecuted when Abba Kabir Yusuf’s government takes over on May 29.
