The Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum has visited the Bakassi Camp to distribute relief materials to households affected by the flood that rocked major parts of Maiduguri, the State capital on Tuesday.
He disclosed that he had received N3bn from the Federal Government from which he donated N10,000 to every head of household affected by the flood.
While addressing newsmen during he visit, he said:
“We have mobilised cooks and they have started cooking foods in these camps. These are immediate palliative measures that will cushion the immediate effect.
“We are here to distribute N10,000 to every head of household affected by the flood.
“A few days ago, we received N3 billion from the federal government a flood intervention fund. So we are using these funds to support the communities impacted by the flood.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>>
