Gov poll: You were never re-elected governor; you selected yourself – singer Falz tells Sanwo-Olu

Nigerian music star and a legal practitioner by study, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz the bad guy has stated the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu was not elected but selected himself as the governor of the state following the Independence National Electoral Commission, INEC declaration as winner of the 2023 Governorship election.

The singer made this known in reaction to an appreciation tweet made by the re-elected governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Sanwo-Olu was declared the winner of the 18th of March, 2023 governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

The Lagos State via his Twitter handle thanked the people of Lagos for re-electing him into the office.

Where he wrote, “Thank you Lagosians! I am deeply humbled and grateful for the overwhelming support and trust of the good people of Lagos State.

“I am honored to be re-elected as your governor and pledge to continue to work tirelessly to deliver a better Lagos for all. Thank you for believing in me. “

However, Falz responding to the tweet said, “You were not re-elected. You selected yourself. Everybody saw it unfold. You are only deceiving yourselves.”
