In preparation for the inaugural Annual Sahel Governance Forum, a delegation from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Sub-Regional Hub for West and Central Africa, in collaboration with the Goodluck Jonathan Foundation (GJF), paid a courtesy visit to President Adama Barrow of The Gambia.
The visit was led by former President, Goodluck Jonathan with key UNDP officials.
According to a post on Jonathan’s Facebook handle, the courtesy visit forms part of the build-up to the high-level governance forum aimed at addressing key development and security challenges in the Sahel region.
Jonathan’s post reads:
“Ahead of the planned inaugural Annual Sahel Governance Forum organised by the UNDP Sub-Regional Hub for West and Central Africa in collaboration with the Goodluck Jonathan Foundation (GJF), the leadership of UNDP office for West and Central Africa and my team, today, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Adama Barrow, President of the Republic of The Gambia.
