Former President Goodluck Jonathan has joined African leaders and stakeholders in Nairobi, Kenya for the inaugural CGIAR Science Week.
The event focuses on harnessing innovation and technology to enhance food sustainability and promote a healthy future for Africa.
CGIAR and the Kenyan Agricultural and Livestock Research Organisation (KALRO) will host science leaders and global decision-makers in Nairobi, Kenya, for the inaugural CGIAR Science Week from April 7 to 12.
Jonathan disclosed his presence at the science week in a post on Facebook on Monday, 7th of April 2025.
The former President wrote:
“This evening, I joined some African leaders and other stakeholders in Nairobi, Kenya, at the opening of the inaugural CGIAR Science Week which focused on the task of deploying innovation and technology to enhance food sustainability and a healthy future for Africa.
“In our opening panel termed ‘Council of the Wise’, I emphasised the point that while science and innovation are essential for advancing agriculture and ending hunger in Africa, they must be supported by strong political will to drive policy formulation and implementation.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>>
