Girl accused of pois0ning ex-boyfriend pepper soup, four others finally breaks silence

Aisha Suleiman, who was alleged of poisoning an ex-boyfriend, and four other people with pepper soup, has recounted her experience after being cleared of all charges.

During an interview with the newsmen, Aisha shared her harrowing experience, explaining the events that led to her near-lynching and subsequent arrest.

Investigations had revealed that the victims actually died from inhaling generator fumes and not eating peppersoup as initially claimed.

In October 2024, Aisha became the target of a brutal mob after a social media media post on X (formerly Twitter) accused her of poisoning her boyfriend and four of his friends.

Although Aisha was not even in the area when the alleged incident took place, she was confronted by an angry crowd upon returning home.

She was publicly humiliated, bound by the mob, and doused in gasoline, with the intention of setting her on fire.

Just as the situation reached a deadly point, authorities intervened and saved her life.

Following her arrest and court charges, human rights groups stepped in and demanded a proper investigation.

The investigation eventually revealed that the true cause of death was carbon monoxide poisoning from a generator, not poisoning as initially claimed.

During the interview, Aisha said in part:

“His best friend posted me one day. It was my friend that screen grabbed it and showed me that anybody that see me they’ll give the person N500,000 that I’m the one that poisoned him. We now went to the police station to report. On our way going, the same friend and another friend blocked us on our way. They said they want to k3ll me that I’m the one that cooked pepper soup.”

She denied ever cooking pepper soup for anyone and explained that tensions arose after she ended her relationship with her late boyfriend.

On the day of the tragic event, Aisha stated that she was in Iyakpi, while the deaths occurred in Afashio.

Now, there are growing calls for legal action against the friend of Aisha’s late boyfriend, who was responsible for raising the alarm. [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>>
