FUEL SCARCITY: Ministerial Nominee Advises FG On Modular Refineries To Combat Fuel Scarcity And Unemployment

Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh, A ministerial nominee, from Abia State, has some pieces of advised for the Federal Government of Nigeria to set up modular refineries in oil-producing communities in other to combat fuel scarcity in the country and also reduce unemployment.

The ministerial nominee stated this today, Wednesday, 29th of June, 2022 in the course of his screening in bid for a ministerial appointment.

When he was Asked by Senator Ibrahim Danbaba for advice on how the federal government can win the problem of fuel scarcity.

Ikoh who noted that refinery can be built in the most Niger Delta State, said “I will advise the Federal Government to ensure that it establishes refinery in the local community where they exploit crude oil. If they do that and begin to introduce Modular Refinery in those communities, the issue of employment will be checked, the issue of importing fuel and gas will be a thing of the past and I know that this country can build modular refinery in most of the Niger Delta states.”
