Heavy downpour has caused the roof of Obafemi Awolowo University’s amphitheatre to collapse during a class session, injuring four students.
The heavy rain fell in the early hour of Thursday, 16th of May, 2024.
According to an eyewitness, The Great Ife, who tweets as #IfeCampus, wrote
, “There was a whirlwind that collapsed the covering inside Amphi theatre. Four people have been rushed to the hospital as of 8:45am
“The students were rushed to Seventh Day Adventist Hospital but were rejected but have now been taken to OAUTHC, and the VC is already with the injured students at OAUTHC.”
