The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Abia State Command arrested four suspects involved in operating an illegal refinery.
The successful operation followed a 48-hour sustained surveillance in the Obiakpu, Obuzo-Asa area of Ukwa West, Abia State.
Confirming the arrest, the state Commandant Usman Alfadarai stated that the operation is a significant stride in combating vandalism, illegal petroleum product dealings, and economic sabotage against Nigeria’s critical national assets.

“This move which comes barely one week after I took over as the Abia State commandant is a strong statement to the vandals to either turn a new leaf or relocate from the state as the corps will not give any inch of respite to the enemies of the Nigerian economy to operate.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]
