Liz Cheney, the US lawmaker, who emerged as ex US President Donald Trump’s fiercest Republican critic, has lost the party’s nomination to return to the congress.
The lawmaker lost to Harriet Hagemen, Trump-backed candidate, in Wyoming during the primaries which came up on Tuesday.
“Congratulations to Harriet Hageman on her great and very decisive WIN in Wyoming. This is a wonderful result for America, and a complete rebuke of the Unselect Committee of political Hacks and Thugs,” Trump wrote on his TRUTH Social handle
The former US president Addressing Cheney and thanking Wyoming, said, “Liz Cheney should be ashamed of herself, the way she acted, and her spiteful, sanctimonious words and actions towards others. Now she can finally disappear into the depths of political oblivion where, I am sure, she will be happier than she is right now. Thank you WYOMING!”
Meanwhile, according to report gathered from other sources, Liz Cheney, who got knocked off, has vowed to do everything possible in her power to prevent Trump from returning to the White House, Oval Office.
“I have said since January 6 that I will do whatever it takes to ensure Donald Trump is never again anywhere near the Oval Office, and I mean it.” She said
