Penny Mordaunt, the Former defence secretary and the leader of the House of Commons, has declared her candidacy to run for the United Kingdom Prime Minister.
Mordaunt revealed this taking to her Twitter handle today, Friday.
She said that her colleagues who wanted a fresh start encouraged her and that she’s running for a Conservative party, promise to deliver her pledges.
According to her, “I’ve been encouraged by support from colleagues who want a fresh start, a united party and leadership in the national interest. I’m running to be the leader of the Conservative Party and your Prime Minister – to unite our country, deliver our pledges and win the next GE.”.
