Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti has raised skepticism on the Forbes magazine’s 2024 billionaire list.
The world’s five richest men include, according to Forbes, American businesspeople Elon Musk ($195 billion), Jeff Bezos ($194 billion), Mark Zuckerberg ($177 billion), and Larry Ellison ($141 billion), as well as French fashion entrepreneur Bernard Arnault ($233 billion).
According to the analysis, since the COVID-19 lockout, the five richest persons in the world have amassed a combined worth of $869 billion.
Reacting, Kuti asserted that “no one can work that hard” and that the list was bogus.
Speaking via his social media page, he said: “The world’s 5 richest men since lockdown, have increased their wealth to a combined total of 869bn US dollars.
“That means they can spend 1 million dollars a day for the next 476 years. No one can work that hard. We have been lied to.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]
