Nigeria President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Maiduguri, the capital city of Borno State, to offer condolences to the government and people of the state following the devastating floods that destroyed homes, hospitals, markets, schools, and other public infrastructure.
Tinubu returned to Nigeria on Monday, 16th of September, 2024, after a working visit to China and the UK.
Before his return, residents of Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, were left stranded following severe flooding that hit major parts of the city after the collapse of the Alau Dam on Monday, 9th of September, 2024.
