Men of the Commissioner of Police Special Assignment team have carried out fresh raids on two suspected kidnapper hideouts in Anambra and Delta states.
During the operation, the team engaged the suspects in a gun duel, leading to the death of one Bellow Abubakar and four members of his gang, suspected to be involved in series of kidnapping activities across the region.
Delta state Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe in a post, on Wednesday, April 30, stated that the police however recovered three AK-47 rifles and 140 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition from the scene.
The post reads:
“Operatives CP special assignment team again raided two forests where kidnappers hibernate. One in Anambra State and another one in Issele-Asagba, Delta State. One Bellow Abubakar and four of his gang of suspected kidnappers died in the gun duel, and three AK-47 rifles and one hundred and forty rounds of 7.62mm ammunition were recovered.” [CONTINUE READING HERE]>>>>>
