First Lady Convoy, Reportedly K!lls 7-year-old Girl in Ondo State

A vehicle in the convoy of Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has allegedly k+lled a seven-year-old girl, Saratu Lawal, in Akure, Ondo State.

The incident reportedly occurred on Thursday, April 17, 2025, near Oba Ile Central Mosque, while the First Lady was en route from the airport to an official event. Mrs. Tinubu was in the state to launch the South-West phase of the Renewed Hope Initiative, aimed at supporting women and girls.

Part of the initiative included distributing over 10,000 professional kits to nurses and midwives. Eyewitnesses told the newsmen that Saratu, a pupil of Islamiyar Arabic School in Shasha, was kn%cked down by a butter-colored Hilux vehicle in the presidential convoy.

Despite being rushed to a nearby primary healthcare center in Oba Ile, efforts to save her life were unsuccessful.
