Following the decision of Super Eagles Manager, Finidi George resigning, Pooja, a Nigeria Football Federation journalist has revealed that the Coach salary was reduced from N15million to N5 Million.
Pooja stated this via his X handle earlier after he announced the coach decision to resign following humiliation.
Freshreporters Media had earlier reported that Finidi George has resigned as the manager of Nigeria Football after being thrashed out of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier. Super eagles were disgrace by Benin from the tournament.
This sparked outrage as the Coach, Finidi claimed that Osimhen and other star players were feeling big to play for the team. Osimhen later debunked such accusations alleging that he had injuries which the coach was aware of.
Following the outrage of his resignation as the head coach, Pooja noted that the main reason of his decision was that his salary was reduced from N15million to N5million.
He said,
“To be candid, NFF DISRESPECTED Finidi George with the demotion, plus his salary was to be REDUCED from N15m to N5m if he continued on the job.
