The Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has yesterday, embarked on a working visit to Sokoto State.
During his visit, he officially commissioned the newly constructed access road leading to the Sadiq Abubakar III International Airport, Sokoto.
In addition to commissioning the new road, the Minister also laid the foundation stone for the construction of a new protocol lounge at the airport.
These initiatives are part of the federal government’s ongoing efforts to modernize aviation infrastructure across Nigeria.
Keyamo disclosed this in a terse statement he shard via his X handle, on Friday, 4th of July 2025.
The statement reads:
“Yesterday, I embarked on a working visit to Sokoto State where I commissioned the newly constructed access road leading to the Sadiq Abubakar III International Airport, Sokoto. Whilst there, I also laid the foundation stone for the construction of a new protocol lounge at the airport.”
