Nigerian female footballer Ihotu John Rebecca has reportedly been abducted, sending shockwaves through the local sports community.
Ihotu, a player in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership, was seized along the Benin Expressway. The athlete, who represents Pacesetter Queens FC, was reportedly taken by unidentified gunmen while traveling.
According to online reports, her captors are demanding a ransom of ₦20 million for her release.
