Fans Commemorate Late Indigenous Rapper, Rapper Dagrin, On 12th Death Anniversary

The Fans and supporters of the popular and late indigenous rapper Oladapo Olaitan Olaonipekun, popularly known as Dagrin, are acknowledging the beautiful impact he had laid in the Nigerian music industry 12 years back after his death.

The rapper has been Regarded as one of the first to popularise indigenous rap according to fans. Singer Dagrin became an household name, in 2009 when he released his hit single, Pon Pon Pon that kept the ambience buzzing.

Following the heart blowing release of his album named “C.E.O” in the same year 2009, the star rapper emerge as the winner the Best rap album at the 2010 Hip Hop world (now known Headies) awards of that year.

But unfortunately, the rapper died after a ghastly car accident in Lagos, rapper dagrin died at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, on the 22nd of April, 2010.

However, following his death Which is the 12th year anniversary, some of his fans and supporters took to their verified Twitter pages today Friday, 22 of April 2022 to mark and commemorate his outstanding musical life and impact.

One of the Tweep, Obaomo Obafemi stated : “it’s been over a decade since your demise, Dagrin, and your name has never deteriorated in the music industry.

“Your style of music is truly impeccable. Continue to rest in peace Olaitan Oladapo Olaonipekun. #Dagrin12yrs.”

Dahunsi Olabode, another fans and supporters noted: “Dagrin’s Democracy has to be one of the hardest political diss rap I’ve ever heard. Guy went brutal and curse out Naija politicians without mincing words. RIP LEGEND. RIP Dagrin.”
